Japanese Green Tea {Matcha} Cookies

Tuesday, July 30, 2013

Don't you all agree green is a beautiful color?
It is one of the most naturally seen color.
Pink and blue might be as pretty as green. But sometimes, when it comes to food, I always feel safer consuming foods that are green than pink or blue.

Kiss The Sun Goodbye

Monday, July 29, 2013

It has rained for a whole week and the sun finally decided to say hello. I don't have a preference for weather but a sunny day is definitely more heels-friendly than a rainy day. So I picked out a few sun dresses from my closet and settled with this outfit ( I've always loved myself a white dress or top) to go on a lunch date at this fantastic taco place.

There Is Never An Ugly Cake

Wednesday, July 24, 2013

Have you ever baked a cake and turned out giving you a big gasp on its unappealing look?
You do not necessarily have to chuck it in the bin... Hey, don't waste your food!

Here are some easy steps on HOW TO FIX YOUR CAKE DISASTER:

Twist It In The Rain

Tuesday, July 23, 2013

Got it all planned out to be a full-day beachbum...only found out it was pouring outside.
Of course I won't let the rain defeat me.

I threw on a top which was meant to be a beach cover-up, changed my havaianas to a pair of sandals and I was good to go for shopping! Shopping never fails me ;) Oh, and don't forget a fancy bag.

Strawberry & Blueberry Cheesecake - Part 1 [The Baking]

Sunday, July 21, 2013

Argh! I know... I know... How typical it is to start a blog with a How To Make A Cheesecake post. But trust me, cheesecake was a lot harder to make in my mind...all the water bath....precise temperature control... I even thought I needed to "make" the cheese in cheesecake!

But really, you do not need to worry all the things above to make a perfect cheesecake. I can't say that my cheesecake tastes the best in the world but honestly, I was quite shocked (and proud of myself) when I saw the final outcome. My cheesecake looks and tastes amazing!

I did not go to any cooking school in Paris. So I am in no position to teach anyone. I am as fresh as a tomato when it comes to baking. But I do enjoy it a lot and hope I can have somewhere to jot down my juvenile cooking journey for me to look back on.

So... here goes...

HOW TO MAKE A STRAWBERRY & BLUEBERRY CHEESECAKE [Part 1-The Baking]

First, preheat your oven to 325F / 162C.

You will need 9-10 pieces of digestive biscuits. You may also use graham cracker, marie or even oreo.

(I also got another pack of digestive biscuit coated with milk chocolate just for my own lust. hmm YUM.)
