Korean Kimchi Seafood Pancake

Thursday, August 29, 2013

Soak the frozen seafood in some water.

Kimchi and the Korean pancake mix are easy to be found in any korean or asian grocery stores. If you can't find the pancake mix, you can just replace it with all-purpose flour.
Scallion is one of the main ingredients in Korean pancakes. Don't have it? Try leek, but it won't be the same.
Mix the pancake mix with some water and salt.

Pink Salt. Need I say more?

In a skillet, heat 1tbsp of oil and pour in your batter. Line the scallions in the batter until you see the batter starts bubbling.
Layer kimchi on top.
Then, your seafood. Party in a pan!
Finally, add your egg. Be sure to cover everything.
Let it simmer for about 3-5 mins on medium heat with the lid on.
Prepare your sauce with some soy sauce, fish sauce, sesame oil, vinegar and scallions.
TA-DA! Garnish with some black sesame. It also enhances the flavour! Yum yum.

 Hope you enjoy this.
