Funfetti Chocolate Chip Cookies

Wednesday, August 7, 2013

People love using semi-sweet chocolate chips but I love milk chocolate chips better.
And you know how it often requires a mature soul to fall in love with dark chocolate. Well, maybe I ain't growing up ;)
And my inner child surely loves some sprinkles!
The more the merrier!
Space the cookie dough because these babies are gonna spread.
They are so nice and soft and fluffy in the centre.
Make sure you put loads of chocolate chips in them batter. So that you'll get mouthful of chocolate in each bite :)
Can't stop eating them!
Yep, they are just that good.

See you until next time

Ingredient List

    • 1 cup unsalted butter (softened)
    • ½ cup white granulated sugar
    • 1½ cup brown sugar
    • 2 tsp. vanilla extract
    • 2 eggs
    • 2¾ cups all-purpose flour
    • 1 tsp baking soda
    • 1½ tsp baking powder
    • ½ tsp of salt
    • 2¼ cups Hershey's milk chocolate chips
    • Sprinkles, as many as you like! :)

    1. 1. Preheat oven to 360F / 180C.
    2. 2. Cream butter, white sugar, and brown sugar on medium speed until it is nice and fluffy.
    3. 3. Add eggs one at a time. Add vanilla and beat for an additional 2 minutes.
    4. 4. Mix all dry ingredients (flour, baking soda, baking powder and salt) in a mixing bowl.
    5. 4. Add your dry ingredients mixture into wet ingredients mixture. Mix batter until fully incorporated.
    6. 5. Add chocolate chips until well distributed.
    7. 6. SPRINKLE TIME! Add as many as you like and mix well :)
    8. 7. Chill the batter in the fridge for at least 1-2 hours or overnight. (You may skip this step if you can't wait)
    9. 8. Scoop about 2 tbsps of dough and roll it quickly into ball shaped. Slightly press it flat and line it onto a piece of parchment paper on your baking sheet.
    10. 9. Bake for 10-12 mins until golden brown.
    11. 10. Remove from oven and allow the cookies to stay on the sheet for 2 mins.
    12. 11. CRUCIAL STEP: Transfer the cookies to a cool wire rack and allow them to cool for at least 5 mins. This will give your cookie a nice crispy edge on the outside yet soft and chewy inside.
