Dior Diorskin Nude Shimmer Instant Illuminating Powder in #002 Amber ($56.00 for 0.35oz.)

I was obsessed of getting a new highlighting powder the past weeks. Probably it was the consequences of reading too many reviews from Essie Button, Liana Beauty, Fleur De Force and Viviana does makeup! Well, you all should know the power of these women! The amount of appearance that the Hourglass Ambient Lighting Powder has on their reviews are wayyy too high if I must say. Unfortunately, Hourglass is a bit difficult to get hold of here in Hong Kong.
(I know the magic of online shopping and there is nothing that I can do better in than it, trust me!)

But I am just simply  l a z y  and thought it shouldn't be thattt hard finding a similar one when there are literally thousand brands out there, is it?

And… I finally met my love!

Well… actually it is my second love, ha!

The first beauty that caught my eyes (and body) in Dior store is actually this Transalantique Diorskin Nude Tan Golden Shimmer Powder ($58.00 for 0.22 oz.). No kidding, this thing absolutely is the most shimmering product I've ever seen in my entire life. Just one swatch, your hand literally turns into golden shimmer sand. It is SOOO BEAUTIFUL! I took one immediately without hesistation until my sister discovered this Diorskin Nude Shimmer Instant Illuminating Powder. It comes in two different shades #001 Rose & #002 Amber. Rose is like a dirty pinky peachy color while Amber is orange brownish tan color. I picked Amber because I wanted to use it as a luminizing bronzer and feels like it complements my fairly tanned skin better. However, I think Rose will look beautifully on tanned skin too if you're looking for a natural flush look. Because I was afraid the Nude Tan Golden Shimmer will look too much on me and end up looking like a disco ball. So I went with the Nude Shimmer Instant Illuminating powder instead.

Nonetheless, I swear Dior has the prettiest makeup! They have just launched a couple of new products for their spring collection. I think they are going for a nautical theme for their nail polish collection. (Dior Nail Polish and Couture Stickers Duo $30.00 for 0.33oz) These beautiful sailor theme coloured nail polishes come with stickers, which allow you to create your own nail art at home and at ease. But what interests me more is the new Dior Addict Fluid Stick ($35.00 for 0.18oz). I was really excited for them as you all know I am a total #lippyaddict. Unfortunately, I didn't have enough time to browse through all the items. But I will definitely be back soon. They have been stapled in my list for sure!

I also like these:

Now… move on to the swatches, shall we?
This is one light swirl. It is not that obvious in picture. But you can tell a hint of subtle bronzy glow in here.

After the first application on my face, I am totally in love with this product! I applied it with the small kabuki brush that it comes with, and just swirled in a soft circular motion once in the pan, on my cheekbone as a blush and it really adds a beautiful glow to my face immediately. My face was looking a little dead due to lack of sleep and sun. But this illuminating powder really brings my face back to life! The result is very subtle yet elegant as the shimmer is really fine and flattering unlike some highlighter that can make you look sort of trashy or uneven under sunlight.

Scarlet Red & Royal Blue

A white top is always my go-to as I feel like it complements my tan skin. I am not exactly the biggest fan of black (except for shoes). It makes me feel old and lifeless. White is perfect for all kinds of vivid colors. I have gone a little bit cray about red and blue recently... I can't help but I just have a huge crush on everything scarlet red and royal blue. I have been eyeing on this bag for a while but I couldn't decide if I should get it in red or blue... Well, I guess you see my final pick :) What do you think of it?

Doesn't he look adorable?
He passed by when we were shooting. Definitely one photogenic dog!

The Kelly watch is a gift from my boyfriend and I absolutely adore it. It just gives a nice vintage touch to the entire outfit.

I have a thing for printed garments. Some people might find it hard to wear but really, one simple way to do it right is matching it with one of the colors in the prints. You can also style it however you want to just because... rules are boring ;)

It has been crazy busy these last couple of weeks. Just last week, I was invited to a friend's birthday party. I decided to abandon the colours for a short while and instead, hopping in with everything black and a pair of plum lips.
